Prof. Dr. İlkin Tuncel is a Prosthetist with a Bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University, graduated in 2008. Fluent in Turkish and English, he is a member of the Turkish Prosthodontics and Implantology Society, Fédération Dentaire Internationale (FDI), and the International Association for Dental Research (IADR).

  • Prosthetic Dentistry and Zirconia Research
  1. Specialized in prosthetic dental treatments, particularly involving zirconia materials and their properties such as translucency, strength, and color stability.
  2. Conducted multiple studies on the effects of coloring procedures, cyclic loading, and luting cements on zirconia restorations.
  3. Published several international journal articles on zirconia’s bond strength and aesthetic properties.

 

  • Academic and Clinical Teaching
  1. Served as an Assistant Professor at Bezmialem Vakıf University, focusing on prosthetic dentistry.
  2. Acted as Education Coordinator in the Department of Dental Prosthetics at the university’s Health Services Vocational School.
  3. Delivered lectures and clinical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students on complete and removable dentures, prosthetic treatment, and clinical applications.
